Waxing The waxing process involves a warm mixture that is applied to the skin and disappears after rapid cooling. There are two different types of wax: soft and hard wax. Soft wax needs strips to be removed and is made with rosemary, oil and other additives. The wax is applied and the tape is placed on top to remove the hair in the opposite direction of growth. Hard waxes solidify on their own and are made from wax, resin and oil. Unlike soft waxes, hard waxes remove hair without tape. With waxing, the skin is easily exfoliated and makes the limbs beautiful and clear. Because it sticks to the top layer of skin, it can kill dead skin cells and make the underlying layer appear softer. Unlike laser hair removal, which can usually only be done by professionals, both waxing and shaving can be done at home.
